You’re Not a Burden

Maybe you hesitate before reaching out.
You write the message… then delete it.
You tell yourself, “They’re tired of me. I’m too much. I should be quiet.”

But let me say this to you, with no hesitation:
You are not a burden.

You are not the sum of your struggles.
You are not defined by your bad days, or by how many times you need reassurance.

You are a person in pain.
And pain doesn’t make you less worthy of connection.

Yes, some people may not understand you.
Yes, you may have been hurt by silence or rejection.
But that doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to reach out again.

The ones who truly care won’t weigh your presence as a cost.
They’ll know that even strong hearts need holding.

If you’ve ever been there for others,
if you’ve ever made someone feel seen,
why do you believe you’re not allowed the same?

You’re not weak for needing comfort.
You’re not selfish for needing to be heard.

You’re human.

And your place in this world is not a mistake.
You don’t have to apologize for existing.

So today, instead of shrinking…
Breathe.
Take up space.

You are allowed to ask for help.
You are allowed to be loved.
And you are allowed to heal, slowly, and without shame.
